From Film Art Director to Director of Brand Strategy

Trajectory

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art & English Literature from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.

2001 - 2005

I worked in the art department on indie and union feature films, TV shows, commercials, activations, and photoshoots. Meanwhile, I contracted with startups and agencies and developed my brand strategy and copywriting skills.

2006 - 2016

Select Brands

Google, Apple, HP, Intel, Roku, Nintendo, HTC, Panic Inc, Digital Trends, Nike, Jordan, FitBit, CVS, Kinfolk, Norm Thompson, Fred Meyer Jewelers, and Travel Portland.

Select Agencies

Wieden+Kennedy, Instrument, Laundry Service, Radical Media, Hungry Man, R/GA, R/West, Pollinate, Swanson Studio, AfterAll, The Fiction Tribe, Swanson Russell, Sandwich Video, Farm League, Sockeye, BPN, and Wolf & Wilhelmine.

Passionate about brand-led business transformation — I launched Room Service Creative, a brand development studio purpose-built to offer premium services and collaborative partnerships. Our clients spanned tech, luxury consumer goods, hospitality, and real estate — from makers and small businesses to startups — united by a shared belief in human-centric brand-level thinking.

2016 - 2021

Select Clients

Marriott Hotels, Practice Hospitality, Q Hospitality Management, Halax Interiors, Stonedware Co., Revolution Design House, Guerrilla Development, Juva Health, Geometer, and Ratio PBC.

Contracting with a global PR firm — I collaborated on comms planning for Microsoft. Contracting with a Seattle-based brand strategy company led to a year-long engagement as a remote Strategy Director — contributing to global research, directing the development of brand territories for an Amazon sub-brand, partnering with Nestle to socialize human-centric innovation, and providing strategic support for non-profits and VC-backed startups.

2019 - 2022

In addition to my role as the Director of Brand Strategy at 51 Eggs, I drive new business and account direction. My interdisciplinary experience informs how I identify possibilities and chase potential for the agency and our client's brands across food and beverage, hospitality, entertainment, premium CPG, lifestyle, and tech. 51 Eggs forges and cultivates enduring brands, and we specialize in strategy, brand and product development, identity design, packaging, content, and campaigns.

2022 - Present

About me

I’m always curious about cultural trends and human behavior and find inspiration in fashion, art, architecture, food, and design. As an avid home cook, you'll find me getting creative in my kitchen in Portland, Oregon, while dreaming of my favorite destination, Florence, Italy.
